Palazzo Dario Limited edition giclee print ![]() ![]() Palazzo Dario was built for Giovanni Dario in about 1487. Because of its slightly crooked, leaning façade it was likened by Henry James to a house of cards! The master builder was Pietro LombardoWith its marble inlays and the neo gothic balconies, added in the 19th century, it is one of the prettiest palazzo in Venice. The palace's original high chimneys in the Venetian style are among the few remaining examples still in existence
In 1908 the palazzo was the subject for a painting by Claude Monet which is now in the permanent collection at the Chicago Art Institute.
